Cat Holland is an Australian artist based in Brisbane, Queensland

Catriona (Cat) Holland is a multi-disciplinary artist who loves working with a wide range of materials including paint, clay, assemblages, sculpture and mosaics on both solo and collaborative projects.  Cat specialises in public and community projects and memorials, as well as projects working with children and young people.  Her public artworks appear in various locations throughout metropolitan Brisbane.

Cat’s work ranges between colourful playful and fun, to a more thoughtful exploration of  beauty, poetry and spirituality.

Cat is an experienced project manager, and has a background in advertising and commercial film industries. She was project manager on the 2014 Brisbane G20 Children’s art project, and has worked in events management and as a volunteer co-ordinator at music festivals.  She has also studied art therapy.

 

Her workshops with children are innovative and loads of fun, and can be designed to result in permanent pieces for schools and kindergartens.  She currently works part time with Access Art’s Brisbane Outsider Artist group, and holds current yellow and blue cards. 

Cat has recently begun to focus on memorials in her art, and works with people to create pieces of permanent reminder and beauty.  She is an experienced celebrant specialising in funerals and memorials.
